Grace's Tips: Rashes
There are many reasons children get diaper rashes. Sometimes they're asleep and have a bowel movement and you don't know. Or perhaps the child has loose stools several times in one day. If over-the-counter ointments don't do the trick, try a combination of malox and corn starch. Mix it into a paste and apply. Make it as needed. Crazy as it sounds, it works more often than not.
Okay, so it's two days later. You've used the over-the-counter stuff, you've used the malox combo and the rash looks no better, bring your child to his/herpediatrician. They may have a fungul rash that requires a perscription.
